2010 Assessments Now Available on Our Web Site Online Database

The Kane County Supervisor of Assessments will publish all 2010 assessment changes in the Elgin Courier News on September 27, 2010. Change of assessment notices will be mailed by the Kane County Supervisor of Assessments the prior week. Additionally, all 2010 assessments are now available on our Online Database Property Search. You can also obtain information about a Rutland Township property by calling our office at (847) 428-5219.

By state law, all of the Rutland Township Assessor's valuations are subject to review and equalization by the Kane County Supervisor of Assessments. Based on the County's 2010 studies, which average all 2007, 2008, and 2009 sales ratios, the Kane County Supervisor of Assessments has placed a factor of .9572 on all assessments in Rutland Township. All assessments reflect the market value of each property as of the statutory January 1st, 2010 date of assessment.

Additionally, the September 27, 2010 date of publication of all assessment changes in the Elgin Courier News will also commence the annual 30-day assessment appeal filing period with the Kane County of Board of Review. No 2010 complaint for property in Rutland Township can be accepted after the filing period deadline.
